Húsavík got worldwide attention after the Netflix movie Eurovision Song Contest – The Story of Fire Saga was realised. It is partly set here, and the final, heartwarming song is dedicated to our town and it also brings its name!
Surprisingly, the song was also nominated to the 93rd Oscars awards. Due to Covid, the singer Molly Sanden couldn’t go to the Dolby Theatre, and decided instead to perform from our harbour, with the help of the cutest children’s choir ever.
