Discover Húsavík our hometown
Too often travellers stop by in Húsavík for only half day, just to join a whale watching tour and then leave, missing the chance to really experience all the things the town has to offer.
With the package Húsavík (our hometown) we would like to invite you to take your time here and fully breath its beautiful atmosphere.
We can plan your day here! You will start in the morning with the classic Whale Watching tour, because Húsavík is the whale capital of Europe, so this is a must. After that, you will visit the Whale Museum, unique in all Europe, to learn why the whales are gentle people. You will then have lunch and relax in one of the restaurants and cafes. In the early afternoon, you will join our Eurovision – The Story of Fire Saga Walking Tour, where our local guide will show you the locations of the movie, and tell you about the memorable days of shootings and the performance of Molly Sanden at the harbour, for the 93rd Oscars Academy Awards. We will focus at the harbour, in the beautiful Skjálfandi Bay, where the mountains sing through the screams of seagulls. While walking, you will also get to know about history, culture and folklore, unusual local tales and fun facts. The walking tour will end at Jaja Ding Dong bar, where a drink is included and where we will make an offer to the elf. If you are interested, before dinner you can also visit the Eurovision Song Contest Exhibition. Then, we will advise for the perfect restaurant for you, accordingly to your needs and tastes (we never want our clients to be disappointed with the food!). After dinner, you will relax in the hot water of GeoSea, amazing thermal pool on top of the hill, just above the Ocean, where the magic nights surpass all others.
